Today is the last official teaching day for our spring program. We have had 9 fantastic CPR instructors that have taught over 3,000 people hands only CPR in the last 3 months. This has been our largest spring teaching program ever and they have done an incredible job. With the teaching that these instructors have performed we now crossed the 25,000 people taught hands only CPR mark. In addition, we learned of a 7th save of a cardiac arrest victim by someone that we had instructed in hands only CPR.
This is the most current map of where we have instructed people throughout the Jefferson County area. We have had tremendous success on the southern and western part of the county where cardiac arrests are very frequent. The majority of the people that we have taught are local high school students and we are very grateful to the health a physical education teachers in Jefferson Co that recognize the value of this program.
We have been blessed to have over 50 CPR instructors go through our program since it’s inception. They really do all of the work of teaching and instructing our students. Universally, they have done a fantastic job teaching CPR.
We are in this for the long haul and will continue to offer our CPR classes for free to the community. During our upcoming summer teaching session we will have great flexibility to teach classes anywhere, any place and any time. All we ask is that the class have at least 15 students for us to teach. If you are interested in a class contact us through the website.
