Start the Heart Foundation came to Ballard High School in Louisville, KY today and taught hands-only CPR to the Ballard Bruin baseball team. The Bruins are preparing for the regional baseball tournament and took 30 minutes out of their preparation to learn this life saving skill.
If a person has been taught CPR once, they are 50% more likely to perform CPR if called upon to do so. Thank you to Coach Trager for allowing us to come teach his team. I think the team lived up to the saying behind them. Good luck in the tournament.
Here is a link to an earlier blog post we wrote about a high school baseball player saving an umpires life with CPR. http://starttheheartfoundation.org/high-school-baseball-player-saves-umpire-by-performing-cpr/
