News report on STHF on WHAS today at 6 pm

November 12, 2014 by William Dillon

Start the Heart Foundation was visited by Rachel Platt of WHAS television station earlier this fall.  The came and visited a hands only CPR class and interviewed our instructors as well as the students.  Ms. Platt then came and interviewed Dr. William Dillon the president and founder of the Start the Heart Foundation.  We spoke about the mission of STHF and the problem of cardiac arrest in the Louisville area.  Lastly, she went and interviewed Mr. and Mrs. Olges.  Mike Olges is a cardiac arrest survivor and was saved by his wife with bystander CPR.

We are looking forward to this story and think it will be great and help to spread the word about the problem of cardiac arrest in our community.  There are about 750 cardiac arrests every year in the Louisville area and sadly 90% of those people do not survive the event.  We are trying to change that statistic.
