Start the Heart Foundation went to the Portland Promise Center in Louisville to teach hands-only CPR today.  The Portland Promise Center is a faith based community development center.  The Portland neighborhood has a very high incidence of cardiac arrest in Louisville.  We taught 20 teens hands-only CPR and they did a great job.  There are now 20 more potential lifesavers in this neighborhood.

IMG_7159 There are 750 cardiac arrests in Louisville each year.  Only 6-14% of cardiac arrest victims survive.  Start the Heart Foundation feels that by increasing bystander CPR will increase the survival rate.

If you would like to schedule a hands-only CPR class please contact us.  We offer hands-only CPR classes at no cost and can teach it in 30 minutes.
