STHF teaches at metro council meeting

We were invited by Louisville Metro City Councilwoman Marilyn Parker to attend the meeting in her district with her constituents to teach hands only CPR today.  Approximately 30 people were in attendance and enthusiastically learned this life saving technique.  It is great that so many people wanted to learn hands only CPR.Dad 2014-09-24 at 17-48-19

In Louisville, only 1 out of 4 cardiac arrest victims receive bystander CPR.  We are trying to change that number.  If a cardiac arrest victim receives bystander CPR this increases the chance of survival by 2-3 times.  We can do better and we have to do better.Dad 2014-09-24 at 17-29-39

About Start the Heart

We are a highly motivated foundation in Louisville, KY that intends to improve survival from cardiac arrest in our community. The foundation will offer hands-only CPR training at no cost to the recipient. We will educate people about cardiac arrest and what to do in a cardiac emergency.
