We were invited by Louisville Metro City Councilwoman Marilyn Parker to attend the meeting in her district with her constituents to teach hands only CPR today. Approximately 30 people were in attendance and enthusiastically learned this life saving technique. It is great that so many people wanted to learn hands only CPR.
In Louisville, only 1 out of 4 cardiac arrest victims receive bystander CPR. We are trying to change that number. If a cardiac arrest victim receives bystander CPR this increases the chance of survival by 2-3 times. We can do better and we have to do better.
