Striking out cardiac arrest with hands only CPR training at the ballpark

May 3, 2015 by William Dillon

On Tuesday May 5th, 2015 there will be a first of it’s kind hands only CPR training event held just prior to the Ballard Bruins vs Kentucky Country Day Bearcats baseball game at 7:00 pm.

Ballard vs Blackman L 12-2 2015-03-29 at 14-10-36Just prior to the start to the baseball game which will be at Bruin field at Ballard High School, 3 baseball players from the Bruins will demonstrate hands only CPR for the spectators who are present for the game.  This demonstration should last for 90 seconds.  Following that there will be a further special demonstration that lasts another minute.

Studies have shown that even brief exposures to hands only CPR training may be beneficial for learning.  The first 100 fans will receive “K” banners to hold with hands only CPR instructions on the back.  Come out and support the teams and learn hands only CPR.
